Halebian Introduces Cleo Contract, a PVC-Free Resilient Flooring

Michael Halebian & Co. has added a one-of-a-kind waterproof commercial flooring that is changing how people will think about resilient flooring. Cleo™ Contract is one of the few totally PVC-free commercial flooring products available today that doesn’t compromise installation and performance and is available at a competitive price point.
“A PVC-free flooring that is 100% waterproof, made in the USA, and that has the durability and performance to match LVT flooring is somewhat of a game changer,” said Retail Sales Manager Marty Ackerman. “As far as looks, their designers travel internationally to stay on-trend, which appeals to interior designers, architectural specifiers and homeowners. Cleo flooring is offered in both residential (Cleo Home) and commercial (Cleo Contract) constructions. It is digitally printed direct to its stone composite core. This process allows for subtle gradations in wood tones as well as bright, clean accent colors, all of which give designers more options. Cleo Home’s design package contains some plank and tile patterns with 60 unique designs before there is a repeat. Its urethane protection system is enhanced with Scotchgard™ for easy maintenance.
“The healthcare segment is an ideal fit for Cleo Contract, but it works well with so many other applications, like corporate, education, multifamily and more,” Ackerman said. “The price of Cleo Contract is competitive, which makes a difference for large projects with lots of square footage.” All of Cleo’s designs — wood, tile or textile — can be grouted or installed edge-to-edge.
Environmental Benefits
Cleo Contract is engineered to have a low-energy manufacturing footprint, to be sustainable, and to be friendly toward human biology and the environment. Made with 85% locally sourced material, Cleo Contract has some of its manufacturing waste recycled into future product. Along with being PVC-free, there are no solvents, formaldehyde, formaldehyde promoters, heavy metals, phthalates, fluorinated chemicals (PFAS), halogenated flame retardants or chloro- chemicals of any kind.
To further minimize environmental impact, Cleo is packaged with 100% recycled cartons. Complementing the use of recycled content packaging is a nationwide recycling program called RenewIt that collects and provides for future Cleo Contract flooring to be reclaimed and recycled.
